Microneedling

There are many skin concerns that can benefit from microneeding.

These include:

  • Sun damage.

  • Fine Lines and Wrinkles.

  • Hyperpigmentation.

  • Rosacea.

  • Enlarged Pores.

  • Scarring.

  • Stretch marks.

  • Problematic Skin.

Microneedling which is also known as collagen induction therapy is the process of using a pen device to create tiny minute puncture wounds. These tiny punctures trigger the body’s wound healing response and encourage the body to renew and regenerate new skin cells. It stimulates the production of collagen and elastins which is key for youthful plump looking skin. During the treatment we use serums that are specifically formulated for each skin concern allowing the products to penetrate more deeply into the skin.

At Enhanced Beauty Aesthetics we use the SkinPen® Precision microneedling device. This pen is a Class 1 Medical Device (the only device in the UK with this classification), this is not a cosmetic pen. The SkinPen® is the only microneedling device approved by the FDA.

Due to the quality of the Skin Pen® which operates at 7000rpm this enables us to create 98,000 channels per minute in comparision to the 15,000 channels from other devices.

Microneedling treatments with Skin Pen® have been estimated to produce >400% more collagen and improved epidermal/dermal thickness.
